to discover the regional natural park of the French Vexin...

Between Paris and Normandy, Château d'Hardricourt is at the gateway to the French Vexin Regional Nature Park. This vast natural area is a blend of woodland and farmland. Long the breadbasket of Paris, its landscape has been shaped by the creation of agricultural fields and villages. But this natural park of valleys, orchards, limestone hillsides, meadows and woods is above all a refuge for the flora and fauna of north-western Paris. Rivers and streams form its natural boundaries, culminating in the Seine valley, which offers breathtaking views from its heights. From the Château d'Hardricourt, discover these natural wonders on foot or by bike. With its castles and museums, you can also combine nature with culture, notably at Vétheuil and Giverny, true memorials of Impressionism and the home of Claude Monnet.

to discover Giverny...

Located on the right bank of the Seine, the town is famous worldwide through the paintings of Claude Monet who lived there from 1883 until his death in 1926. Like Monet in his time, the visitor cannot help but pause for a long time in front of the water garden with its Japanese bridge, its water lilies... settings that inspired two of his most famous paintings.

to discover the Palace of Versailles...

Just 25 minutes from Château d'Hardricourt, discover the Château de Versailles, listed as a World Heritage Site since 1979, and one of the finest achievements of 17th-century French art. The former hunting lodge of Louis XIII was transformed and enlarged by his son Louis XIV, who installed his court and government here in 1682. Until the French Revolution, successive kings embellished the château in turn.

to discover the castle of La Roche-Guyon...

The castle of La Roche-Guyon raises its imposing silhouette from the banks of the Seine to the top of the hill. Leaning since the Middle Ages against the chalk cliff, this ancient fortress has metamorphosed over the centuries, elegantly confronting different architectural styles. From the medieval keep to the 18th century stables, from the first troglodytic spaces to the fruit garden and the English garden, from the ceremonial rooms to the casemates built by Rommel, the castle offers you a strange journey through time.

La Roche-Guyon is a place that preserves the memory of the Age of Enlightenment. The Duke of La Rochefoucauld and his daughter, the Duchess of Enville, undertook major works. Monumental entrance, stables, pavilions, terraces blend into the medieval fortress.

to the discovery of the collegiate church of Mantes-La-Jolie...

The Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame dominates Mantes-la-Jolie. It remains the living witness of the medieval and royal past of this city. Its historical and architectural kinship with Notre-Dame de Paris makes it one of the most beautiful monuments of Ile-de-France.

The construction of the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame began between 1140 and 1150, and was built in place of an earlier church, documented before the 11th century. Today, it remains one of the largest Gothic churches in the Île-de-France.
